1928 Book of Common Prayer

Behold, a virgin shall concieve, and bear a son,
and shall call his name Emmanuel.
The America-based Anglican Province of Christ the King, of which Saint Mary’s is the San Diego Parish, follows the teaching of Jesus Christ and celebrates historic Christianity in the Anglican Catholic tradition. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and the expressions of faith contained in the ancient creeds of the Church. We uphold family values and New Testament morality, and worship with the 1928 Book of Common Prayer.
With Jesus Christ and His sacrament of Holy Communion at our core, we worship God and preach the unerring and eternal Gospel of our Lord in the beauty and ordered dignity of a Christ-centered service. We observe the seven sacraments of our Catholic faith, believing that the Lord is manifest in the waters of Holy Baptism, through His Real Presence in the bread and wine of the Holy Eucharist, and through the sacramental rites of Confirmation, Matrimony, Reconciliation, Holy Orders, and Unction.
Saint Mary the Virgin is a continuing Anglican Church not affiliated with the Protestant Episcopal Church. The reason for this departure from the Protestant Episcopal Church may be found in Saint Paul's letter to the Galatians 1:1-12. God's plan for us is clearly defined in the New Testament. We reject actions that placate the vain trends of the secular world by confounding the words of Holy Scripture to serve purposes in direct opposition to the Gospel. We believe that such actions are anathema to the Faith delivered of God to us through the Apostles. We reject these actions as grievous errors and repugnant to fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.
We invite you to attend Mass at Saint Mary's on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. If you have been baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity and believe that Our Lord is truly present in the consecrated bread and wine of the Blessed Sacrament, we invite you to receive the Holy Eucharist with us.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to phone or email Father Barrios at the number and email address found in our website.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore.
